ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid said on Monday he was continuing efforts for the restoration of peace in Rawalpindi and hoped the government would arrest the culprits of Ashura incident soon.
Talking to APP, Sheikh Rashid said he was deeply upset over the recent incident. He also requested the youth of city to help restore peace.
He asked the political and religious parties to shun blame-game and instead unite for peace in the city.
Replying to a question, he said the involvement of a `third element' in the Rawalpindi incident could not be ruled out.
