KARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Monday passed Gorakh Hills Development Authority (Amendment) Bill-2013 with majority of votes.
Members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) did not participate in the voting.
The Bill was tabled on the floor of the Assembly on October 31, last.
Under these amendments, it has been decided that a Member of National Assembly from the concerned district would be appointed as the Chairman of the Gorakh Hills Development Authority.

But, he said, this was not incorporated.
The Speaker advised him to have a session with the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Sikandar Mandhro and discuss his point.
When the Sindh Child Marriages Restraint Bill -2013 was moved for discussion by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Sikandar Mandhro, Speaker of Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani constituted a special committee to draft a consolidated bill out of two identical bills on the same issue tabled by two honourable MPAs.
