LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday took notice of the news published in a section of press of assault and throwing acid on a 65-year-old woman by a quack at Wan Bachchran.
District & Sessions Judge, Mianwali has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to details, the victim felt pain in her legs and was taken to Abdus Sattar who ran a pain relief clinic at lorry adda. The quack took her in a room where he tied both her hands and sexually harassed her. However, on resistance, he threw acid on her back and fled.
Police registered a complaint against the quack after two days of the incident on woman's family protest in front of the police station.
LHC Complaint Cell took notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
