ISLAMABAD: Senior PML-N leader Khawaja Mohammad Asif on Wednesday said that peaceful power transition from an elected government to another was a historic moment which was distinguished achievement in the country's 65-year history and was possible after crossing many hurdles.
Talking to reporters here at the Parliament House following the election of Mian Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister, Asif said that his party had made a strategy to tackle the energy crisis which would be unveiled by Mian Nawaz Sharif soon.
He said that his party would make best efforts to come to the expectations of the people by resolving the problems being faced by the masses.
The PML-N leader said that Mian Nawaz Sharif's election as prime minister for the third term was addition of a historic chapter in the country's history.
He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif had faced exile while the PML-N workers had suffered under a dictatorial rule but they did not compromise.
He said that media, lawyers and judiciary had also contributed to the revival of the democratic order in the country and the credit also goes to them.
