ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Arif Nizami on Thursday said that new political culture had emerged in the country and previous government made consensus over a number of disputes during the past five years.
Talking to state television, he said that intervention of any extra constitutional adventure should not take place, adding consensus politics should continue.
He said that caretaker government provided equal opportunities to all political parties in general elections.
Arif Nizami said that people gave mandate to Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) to form government.
He said that despite all circumstances and rumors elections were held on time.
Replying to another question Nizami said complaints about poll rigging had been received and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was dealing with these complaints through recounting and thumb impression verifications.
If Imran Khan shows workable majority in KP Assembly Maulana Fazal ur Rehman should accept the mandate of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf, he added.
