imageISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso Wednesday phoned Sindh Chief Minister Justice (retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi and discussed with him issues relating to holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister about measures taken by the provincial government for maintaining cordial and peaceful environment in the province.

The Prime Minister observed that the law and order situation had improved after effective measures taken by the Federal Government in coordination with the provincial authorities.

He expressed the confidence that the situation would further improve in the coming days.

The Prime Minister assured the Sindh Chief Minister that the Federal Government would provide all possible assistance to the provincial government in this regard.

He also stressed that extra security measures must be taken to safeguard the life and property of the people in general and the candidates in particular on elections day as well.
