imageISLAMABAD: Former President Pervez Musharraf's counsel Ahmed Raza Kasuri on Tuesday told the Supreme Court that his client, General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, had no-confidence in the apex Court's bench hearing the treason case against the former ruler.

The two-member bench headed by Justice Jawad S Khawaja resumed hearing of five identical petitions against Pervez Musharraf seeking his trial under Article 6 of the Constitution for imposing emergency and subverting the Constitution in 2007.

During the course of proceedings, counsel for Pervez Musharraf, Ibrahim Satti said that putting the name of his client on Exit Control List (ECL) is violation of basic fundamental rights and pleaded that he (Musharraf) needs to visit Dubai frequently to look after his 95 years old ailing mother living over there.

Justice Khilji Arif Hussain remarked that then he should file an separate application if Musharraf's travel to Dubai is absolutely necessary. Ibrahim Satti said that the November 3, 2007 step was taken by Musharraf on a secret letter of the then Prime Minister.

Former President Pervez Musharraf's lawyer, Ahmed Raza Karsuri said that Musharraf has reservations over Justice Jawad S.Khwaja's inclusion in the bench and made a plea that his petition for constitution of full court for hearing treason case should first be heard, as his client has no trust in the bench.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing till Wednesday (April 24).
