ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo on Saturday hoped that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would form an impartial caretaker set-up for up coming elections.
Talking to a private television channel, he said that PPP would organize big political gatherings across the country in coming days, adding all parties have right for carrying political activities in the country.
He said the Parliament had shifted powers to the provinces.
Replying to a question, he said that the Parliament had introduced 18th, 19th and 20th amendment in constitution, adding unfortunately political parties could not agree on a name for the office of the caretaker Prime Minister.
The caretaker set-up would not be authorized to formulate any policy, he said.
He said that democracy was strengthening in the country as political parties were showing tolerance and political wisdom.
