ISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shaukat Basra Thursday claimed that the PPP would form the next government by winning elections as it always worked for rights of people.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that recent PPP led government had strengthened democracy and national institutions in the country.
Basra said that reconciliation politics of President Asif Ali Zardari had protected democracy in the country, adding the PPP leadership had sacrificed their lives for the country and democracy.
He said elements who conspired against the PPP were enemies of the country and democracy.
Replying to a question, he said the party was united under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and no alliance could harm its popularity.
He hoped that the PPP would form the next government not only in the centre but also in all provinces by winning forthcoming polls with the support of the masses.
