ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sports and Culture Wing President Iftikhar Elahi on Wednesday accused Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for misusing the taxpayers' money for petty political gains.
Punjab government had distributed Rs nine billion to its favorites under the name of Sports Gala, he added.
The Punjab government has once again set a record of looting the public money as it has distributed billions to their blue eyed people under the pretext of sports gala, said Iftikhar while addressing a press conference here at party secretariat.
He was flanked by former test cricketer Wajahatullah Wasti, Riaz Afridi, Owais Ali Wasti, Mateeullah Wasti, Asif Malik and other party leaders.
He added that the matter has been taken up by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
He said that a manifesto of New Pakistan by PTI Chairman Imran Khan would be unveiled on March 23rd at Minar-e-Pakistan, adding that more than ten thousand people belonging from sports and culture sector would participate in a historic public gathering of PTI in Lahore.
