xxx69ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planted 3.632 million saplings in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in the last five years, Minister In charge for Cabinet Division told Senate Thursday.

In a written reply to the question of Ms Nuzhat Sadiq, he said the CDA has launched a total of ten tree plantation campaigns in last five years. Two tree plantation campaigns are launched in Monsoon and Spring season each year.

Replying to the question of Baz Muhammad Khan, he said a total of 3242 applications for getting house completion certificates have been received by CDA. Out of which certificates have been issued to 1480 applicants.

In a written reply to the question of Begum Najma Hameed, Minister for Provincial Harmony Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani said the response of Pakistan Super League from sponsors, broadcasters, potential franchises and players has been over whelming.

However, PCB was receiving various requests from the stakeholders to give more time to prepare to invest in the League. Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been postponed and was being rescheduled.

He said PCB has faced no losses due to the postponement of the PSL. International players have also agreed to participate in the PSL auction but the process of getting No Objections Certificate (NOCs) from the relevant boards was underway and required some time.  Some scheduling conflicts had arisen after the announcement of PSL.

Sri Lanka had extended their tour dates against Bangladesh in March which coincided with PSL dates which could result in potential star players missing out on the opportunity in PSL.
