SC directs police to take steps for providing security to lawyers ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police and the City Chief Police Officer (CCPO) Rawalpindi to ensure protection of lawyers in the twin cities as during the past few weeks several lawyers were mysteriously abducted and then left after subjecting to severe torture.The instructions were issued during the hearing of a Human Rights case regarding the target killing of lawyers in the twin cities and subjecting them to severe torture which engulfed fear among the lawyers' fraternity.A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S. SC orders action against owners for misuse of agri farms ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take indiscriminate legal action against the owners for misusing the agriculture farms for business purposes.
