Govt committed to promote technical education for development: minister ISLAMABAD: Minister for Federal Education and p rofessional Training Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman said Thursday the government was taking solid measures to promote technical education for achieving socio-economic development of the country. Speaking in the senate during question-hour the minister said as part of such efforts, the NAVTTC under Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme had increased the number of trainees in the existing TVET institutions in different field and trades to meet the demand of trainees both nationally and internationally. He said under PMYSDP Phase-III, training of 25,000 trainees was in progress and 25,000 youth would get training in the next financial year in highly demand driven trades across the country.He said the training for overseas pre-employment was being managed by Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
