LAHORE: The bulls once again came back to the Lahore Stock Exchange by overpowering the bears after a three- day paus, as the Exchange gained huge 40.82 points with the LSE-25 Index opened at 3426.38 and closed at 3467.20 points here Wednesday.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.001 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.459 million shares, showing a downward slide of 458,577 shares. While, out of the total 99 active scrips 27 moved up, 58 remained equal and 14 shed values.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Attock Refinery Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Company were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Re 4.70, Rs 3.10 and Rs 1.31 respectively.
Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited, Dawood Hercules Corporation and Fauji Cement Company Limited lost their per share value by Re 0.20, Re 0.14 and Re 0.06 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Lotte Pakistan PTA Limited with 117,202 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 113,629 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 106,221 shares.
