LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 8.99 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5500.76 points and closed at 5491.77 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.565 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.211 million shares, showing a downward slide of 646,500 shares.
While, out of the total 71 active scrips, only six moved up, 16 shed values and 49 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Highnoon Laboratories Limited, Engro Polymer and Chemical Limited and Habib Bank Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 22.45, Re 0.60 and Re 0.30 respectively.
Treet Corporation Limited, First Capital Equities Limited and Pace Pakistan Limited lost their per share value by Rs 2.93, Rs 1.44 and Re 0.34 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 1.195 million shares, Shakarganj Limited with 75,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 73,500 shares.
