ISLAMABAD: The price of live chicken which was being sold at Rs. 150 per kg last week has come down to Rs. 120 per kg however the eggs' prices are still at Rs. 110 per dozen.
While talking to APP, Dr Hassan Sarosh, Chairman of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) on Friday attributed the hike in price of eggs is decrease in production of the commodity.
"The production of chicken egg (farm) usually decreases during September to March which result in wide difference of demand and supply", he said adding due to wide gap of demand and supply, the eggs price have gone up.
He assured that the eggs prices would remain stable on the current price during the whole winter season.
