LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday as it shed 10.10 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4647.46 and closed at 4637.36 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 5.896 million shares to close against previous turnover of 6.159 million shares, showing a downward slide of 263,420 shares. While, out of the total 104 active scrips 39 moved up, 44 remined equal with 21 shed values.
Highnoon Laboratories Limited, Treet Corporation Limited and Adamjee Insurance Company Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.42, Rs 3.22 and Rs 1.70 respectively.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, The Bank of Punjab (R) and National Refinery Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.50, Re 0.93 and Re 0.88 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R) with 1.610 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 688,500 shares and Silk Bank Limited with 536,000 shares.
