LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday as it shed 19.41 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4030.37 and closed at 4010.96 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.168 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.693 million shares, showing an upward slide of 1.474 million shares.
While, out of the total 94 active scrips 20 moved up, 17 shed values and 57 remined equal.
Adamjee Insurance Company, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.95, Rs 3.50 and Rs 2.79 respectively.
Engro Corporation Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Nishat Mills Limited lost their per share value by Rs 1.81, Rs 1.35 and Rs 1.30 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 1.818 million shares, National Bank of Pakistan with 484,000 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 267,000 shares.
