39 profiteers fined KARACHI: The divisional and district administration Karachi has challaned 39 shopkeepers and a fine of Rs 81,000 was imposed for violating the officially approved price list.According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, during crackdown, the administration fined 12 milk sellers, one vegetable seller, 2 grocer, 8 fruit sellers and 16 chicken sellers.The action against profiteers were taken in the areas including Liaquat Abad, Gulberg, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Murad Memon Goth, Model Colony, Shah Faisal, Saddar, Aram Bagh, Civil Line, Garden, Jamshed Quarters, Gulzar Hijri, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Landhi, Malir and other areas.Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that the operation against profiteers will continue till the sale of essential items is not ensured according to officially approved price list.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2015 ...
