CPI based inflation increases 0.2pc in November ISLAMABAD: Consumer Price Index (CPI) during the last month (November) witnessed an increase of 0.2 percent as compared to the previous month. The CPI inflation general increased by 3.8 percent on year-on- year basis during the month of November, 2016 as compared to corresponding month of last year.  According to the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, average CPI inflation during the period from July-November was recorded at 3.92 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year. The core inflation measured by non-food non-energy CPI increased by 5.3 percent on year on year basis in November 2016 as compared to increase of 5.2 percent in the previous month and 4.0 percent in November 2015.  On month on month basis, it increased by 0.2 percent in November 2016 as compared to increase of 0.9 percent in previous month and an increase of 0.1 percent in corresponding month of last year. The core inflation, measured by 20 percent weighted trimmed mean CPI (Core Trimmed) increased by 3.8 ...
