KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where four ships carrying containers, chemical, furnace oil and edible Oil were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Tenninal, Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and chemicals are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Friday where total number of eight ships namely MV. Hammona Pacifium, CGM Puccini, MV. Hawk, Keitum, K.Coral, Norgas Napa, Baltic and MV. Theresa Dumal are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, urea, chemicals, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 46129 tonnes comprising 32388 tonnes Imports and 13741 tonnes exports inclusive of mntainerized cargo carried in 780 Containers (Boxes) were handle at tile Port during last 24 hours.
