KARACHI: Three ships C.V CMA CGM Wagner M.T AL-Salam II and M.T Sunrise Wisteria carrying containers, 52,363 tonnes diesel oil and 11,500 tonnes palm oil were allotted berths at Qasim InternationalContainer Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile three more ships C.V MSC Lana, M.V Hawk and M.T Mali Bu scheduled to load/offload containers. cement and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port of fifty percent on Wednesday where seven ships namely C.V MSC Jade, C.V CMA CGM Wagner M.V Fisher-D, M.V BBC Arizona, M.V Conti Saphir, M.T Sunrise Wisteria and M.T AL - Salam - II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers. cement project cargo, canola seeds, palm oil and Diesel oil during last 24 hours.
A record cargo handling was achieved at the Port where a cargo volume of 134,670 tonnes, comprises 94,473 tonnes import 40,197 tonnes exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,614 containers (1,723 imports and 1,89-1 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port During last 24 hours.
Three ships C.V CMA CGM Wagner, M.T Sunrise Wisteria and M.T AL-Salam-II are expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Five ships, C.V Mare Atlanta, C.V MSC Lana, C.V Belgica, M.V Hawk and M.T Mali Bu scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively On Thursday 2nd August. while another ship C.V Lantau Arrow is due to arrive at Port Qasirn on Friday, 3rd August 2012.
