KARACHI: Brisk shipping has been absorbed at the Port during last 24 hours, where seven ships carrying container, rice, chemical, diesel oil and edible oil were allotted berth on Qasim International Containers Terminal, FAP Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and LCT Terminal on Thursday.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Friday where total number of eight ships namely MV.City Beijing, CGM Eiffel, CGM Chopin, Liberty Glory, Stanley Park, AL Soor II, Chem Road Quest and MT, Atlantia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, chemicals diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 83585 tonnes comprising 69872 tonnes imports and 13713 tonnes exports Inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1285 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
