LAHORE: All the CNG stations of Lahore,Multan,Sahiwal and Gujranwala division remained closed on Tuesday,the second weekly holiday, while petrol shortage in some parts of the city hit the commuters double hard.
Meanwhile,illegal petrol sellers spent a busy day as they fleeced consumers who paid Rs 20 to Rs 30 extra per litre.
Petrol shortage cum CNG closure forced 40 to 50 percent filling stations to remain completely closed.
Later in the day long queues were seen at some petrol stations at Nicholson road, Wahdat road, Davis road, Shimla Hill chowk, Shadman and some other areas.
