 KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying furnace oil and edible oil were allotted berths at FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, five more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, LPG and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of six ships namely MV. Salta, BBC Kosan, Argent Daisy, Lady Fell, MV, Brizo and Bunga Lavender are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, general cargo, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 25542 tonnes, comprising 23088 tonnes imports and 2454 tonnes exports were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
