electric power 400ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet on Wednesday discussed the energy shortage in the country and ways to effectively deal with the problem that has had a negative impact on industrial and business activities.

The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here at the PM Secretariat, also approved the signing of a Draft MoU on Cooperation between NAIF Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and National Defence University (NDU) Pakistan.

It approved in principle the draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Government of Pakistan and the Government of United Republic of Tanzania on Defence Cooperation and also approved in principle to enter into negotiations on an Agreement on Transfer of Offenders between Pakistan and Seychelles.

The Cabinet also approved ratification of the Agreement on Transfer of Sentenced Persons between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
