KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where a ship carrying urea was allotted berth at FAP Terminal on Monday, June 11, 2012.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Tuesday where total number of six ships namely MSC Sierra II, Leo Pard-B, BBC Quebec, P.Wisdom II, MT Akaki and MT Galaxy are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, urea, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 50210 tonnes, comprising 36511 tonnes imports and 13699 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 615 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
