KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers and cement were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal on Wednesday, Jan 08.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, diesel oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 45 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of five ships namely ACX, Margiuerite, CGM Wagner, Florida II, Al Barella and MV. Coronado are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, and canola seeds respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 50,825 tonnes, comprising 26,966 tonnes imports and 23,859 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1540 containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two containers ships ACX Marguerite and CGM Wagner sailed out to sea on Thursday morning while MV. Al Barella has to sail later today.
