ISLAMABAD: Electricity shortfall has surged to 6500 Megawatts on Tuesday, which is the highest level in the country’s history.
According to the Water and Power Ministry the total demand of electricity in the country is 18500 Megawatts, while the production is 12000 Megawatts.
Due to the shortfall, the load shedding hours will be increased. Urban areas are likely to face at least 10 hours load shedding while rural areas 14 hours.
