imageFAISALABAD: On the special directives of Federal Secretary for Water and Power Muhammad Younas Dhagga, the latest 688 mobile phones sets have been provided to 52 sub-divisions of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) for mobile reading.

Now electricity consumers of Faisalabad, Chka Jhumra, Jaranawala, Chiniot and Sammundari would receive mobile reading bills as the FESCO has started mobile reading by December 2014.

According to Chief Executive Officer FESCO Rashid Ahmed Aslam, now meter readers would take picture of a meter with manual meter reading and this picture would also print on bills of consumers.

It would be helpful to remove complaints of over billing as well as bogus and fictitious reading.

Rashid Aslam said under the vision of the secretary Water and Power the project would be expanded in all over the region and during the next few months 3.3 million electricity consumers would receive mobile reading bills.

He said it would not only provide relief to consumers but helpful to improve performance of the reading section and now meter readers could not send bills of bogus reading.

He said the FESCO administration was striving hard to provide the best possible services to consumers and standing top position at Combined Efficiency Index for the last many years.
