LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab's Coordinator on Energy Shahid Riaz Tuesday said the provincial government will launch 15 hydro power projects during the next two years.
"Meanwhile, 1320 megawatt coal-based power plant will help minimize load shedding in the province", he said. Talking to reporters here, he said, "Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif led Punjab government is striving hard to get rid of energy crisis within minimum possible time. All the resources are being tapped to generate ample electricity for the people".
He said PML-N leadership was fully aware of the energy crisis in the country, adding that every possible step was being taken to overcome shortage of energy.
