KARACHI: Three ships C.V Maersk Detroit, C.V CMA CGM Berloiz and M.T BW Mia carrying containers and phosphoric acid were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively at Port Qasim during on Wednesday.
Meanwhile another ship with edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same day.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 43% on Wednesday, where six ships namely ships C.V Maersk Detroit, CV CMA CGM Berloiz, M.T BW Mia, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Bunga Angsana and M.T GSW Forward are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemicals, palm oil respectively during last hours.
A cargo volume of 83,367 tonnes, comprises 52,074 tonnes imports and 31,293 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,263 containers (TEUs) (1,616 imports and 1,647 exports TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Four ships C.V Maersk Detroit, C.V CMA CGM Berloiz, M.T GSW Forward and M.T Atlantic Glory are expected to sail on day afternoon.
Two Ships C.V Hansa America and C.V Dubai Express carrying containers are expected to take berths at Container Terminal berth No. 7 and 8 respectively on Thursday, while two more container ships "Rio Brave' and 'Deimas Keta' are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
