KARACHI: Two ships C.V Hansa Africa and C.V CMA CGM Bellini carrying containers were allotted berths at Qasim International container Terminal at Port Qasim on Wednesday, Aprilb 23.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 57% on Wednesday where eight ships namely C.V Hansa Africa, C.V CMA CGM Bellini, C.V Sealand Washington, C.V alliance Fairfax, M.V Filia Glory, M.V David Schulte, M.T Golden Blessing and Atlantic Glory were occupied PQA berths to load/ offload Containers, Cement, Palm oil and Chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 109,574 tonnes, comprises 40,630 tonnes imports and 68,944 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 4,387 containers (TEUs) (1,375 imports and 3,012 exports TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Two container vessels `Sealand Washington' and `Hansa Africa' sailed out to sea on Thursday morning while three more ships C.V CMA CGM Bellinim C.V Alliance Fairfax and M.V David Schulte are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Container Vessel `Venezia' is expected to take berth at Container Terminal and on Thursday, 24th April 2014, while another containers ship Hugo Schulte is due to arrive at Prot Qasim on Same day and M.V Aviator and M.V Densa Cougar scheduled to load /offload Coke, steel coil and cement are due to arrive on Friday, 25th April 2014.
