SNGPL removes 24,812 illegal connections during 9 months in KP ISLAMABAD: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has removed around 24,812 illegal domestic, commercial and industrial gas connections in different cities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province during a nine month period."As part of the continuous efforts to discourage illegal use of gas, the company made significant achievements from July 2014 to May 2015, under which it disconnected 24, 812 illegal connections, removed 87.260 kilometer supply lines and lodged 558 FIRs against unauthorized users in different cities of the province," official sources in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources told APP here.Giving details, they said, the company cut-off 5,580 domestic, 140 commercial and 27 industrial unlawful connections in different oil and gas producing districts of the province.Besides, it removed 61.260 kilometer lines and lodged 64 first information reports (FIRs) against the illegal users of the commodity there.In Peshawar, 17,000 domestic, 11 commercial and four industrial illegal gas connections ...
