ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has so far airlifted 36,591 intending pilgrims through 86 flights to Saudi Arabia since the start of pre-Haj operation.
According to a Spokesman of PIA here on Tuesday, the national flag carrier carried 4,980 intending pilgrims through 10 flights from Karachi, 8,910 through 18 flights from Islamabad, 8,003 intending pilgrims by 16 flights from Lahore.
PIA carried 7,522 intending pilgrims by 23 flights from Peshawar, 4,174 intending pilgrims by 13 flights from Quetta, 1998 and 1,004 intending pilgrims by 4 and 2 flights from Multan and Sialkot respectively.
The month-long Pre- Hajj operation will conclude on October 20.
