PESHAWAR: The City police Tuesday averted a bid of terrorism by defusing two powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bombs in the outskirts of the City, police said.
Police on a tip-off that two bombs have been planted to a flour mill located at Bara Sheikhan for subversive activities, have informed Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and defused it with the help of the squad.
It may be recalled that five bombs have been defused by BDS during last few days at Bara Sheikhan.
On September 28, incharge of Bomb Disposal Squad, Hakim Khan had been martyred while trying to defuse a bomb in the same area.
