LAHORE: Turkish Consul General (C.G) to Lahore Serder Deniz called on Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana at the Governor's House, here on Monday.
Speaking during the meeting, the Punjab Governor said that Turkey was most reliable and sincere friend of Pakistan and the present government had given a new dimension to the bilateral relations.
Rajwana said these bilateral relations had turned into economic partnership between the two countries, adding that recent mega projects in various sectors were a proof of this friendship.
He said Pakistan was desirous of learning from the knowledge and expertise which had made the increasing GDP and marvelous development of Turkey possible.
He stressed the need to enhance the cooperation in the infrastructure, education and communication sectors between the two countries, adding that Pakistan's energy, agriculture and industrial sectors presented enormous opportunities to the Turkish investors.
The Punjab Governor said Turkey had always stood by Pakistan in the hour of need.
Turkish CG Serder Deniz said Turkey was desirous of enhancing bilateral trade relations with Pakistan, adding that the relations between the two countries were strengthening with every passing day.
The Turkish diplomat said Pak-Turkish friendship was exemplary and a model for the world.
