ISLAMABAD: A two-day National Seerat conference in connection with Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (sallalaho alihe wasallam) began in Lahore on Sunday.
The theme of this year's conference is "Interfaith harmony in the light of Islam and life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).
Addressing the inaugural session, Federal Minister for religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said, the government is taking concrete steps to promote interfaith harmony in the society.
He said the purpose of organizing this conference is to help prepare suggestions for promoting interfaith harmony.
