imageLAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif distributed the cheques of Rs. 100,000 each among position holders of matriculation examinations belonging to labour families.

They were introduced to the Chief Minister separately who discussed their future plans with them.

He called the names of position holders, their parents and also mentioned the source of livelihood of the parents of position holder students.

The Chief Minister said that hard work was not the property of anyone and these students had overcome the children of the elite, through their hard work and wisdom, upon whom doors of higher education always remained open.

Position holder male and female students said that they wanted to serve the nation after completing their education. A position holder girl student from Education Board Sargodha, Habiba Shahid said that she wanted to become a doctor to serve the ailing humanity, upon which, the Chief Minister said that she should become doctor but avoid strike or protest as it was against the profession of doctors. He said that service to ailing humanity was a great work.

A position holder girl from Bahawalpur, Iqra said that she could not bear educational expenses and her parents were not willing to send her to school, upon which, her headmistress motivated her parents and also met her educational expenditure, upon which, the Chief Minister lauded the role of headmistress.

The Chief Minister moved to tears upon listening to an orphan position holder girl Neelam Shahzadi of Gujranwala Board, orphan position holder boy Afaq Kamal of Rawalpindi Board and a position holder Mamoon Rasheed son of a martyr and the entire environment became sad.

Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the students obtaining position in difficult circumstances.
