KARACHI: The `Soyem' of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri was held here on Friday at the residence of the deceased.
People from various walks of life attended the Soyem. These included leader of the opposition in National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah, provincial minister, Qayyum Soomro, MQM's leaders Wasim Akhtar and Rauf Siddiqui.
Speaking on the occasion Syed Khurshid Shah said that the terrorists have silenced a voice that was playing a role towards promotion of Qawwali.
He stated that the killers of Amjad Sabri would be brought to justice.
Khurshid Shah was sure that the government would take effective steps so that such incidents do not recur.
