ISLAMABAD: National Disaster Management Authority on Friday directed all the concerned departments to remain alert during coming week as there is high probability of flash floods in hilly areas and urban flooding in big cities.
PMD has predicted onset of monsoon in Pakistan during the coming week most probably on Monday, Tuesday over upper parts of the country.
Monsoon rains are likely to start from upper parts of country that will spread towards central and southern parts during the week.
During first spell of monsoon, widespread rains with isolated heavy thundershower and strong gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Punjab, KP, FATA and Kashmir.
While scattered rains/dust thunderstorm are also expected in Sindh and Balochistan during the coming week.
