LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday suspended transfer orders of Accountant General (AG) Punjab Zafar Hasan Raza.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah passed the orders on a petition, filed by Zafar Hasan, challenging his transfer orders. The court sought reply of the respondents till June 14.
Earlier, petitioner's counsel submitted that he had been transferred as Member Finance, Atomic Energy Commission, while witout authority.
He said that the petitioner was a grade-21 officer, but he was transferred to a grade-22 position.
He contended that the step was illegal and pleaded with the court to set aside the orders. He also requested the court to suspend the orders till decision of the petition.
The court, after hearing arguments, suspended the orders and sought reply till June 14 from the respondents.
