Very hot and dry weather is to grip major parts of the country, for the next 48 hours warned the Metrological Department on Saturday.
According to Pakistan Metrological Department, low pressure areas lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending south eastward, while continental air would prevail over most parts of the country during next few days. However, a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect upper parts of the country on Sunday evening.
For the next 24 very hot weather conditions would continue over plain areas of Punjab, KP, Sindh, Sibbi & Makran divisions. However, light rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds/duststorm is expected at isolated places in FATA, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Islamabad during evening/night.
The hottest place in the country are: Dadu, Jaccoababad 51°C, Sibbi, Larkana, Kot addu, Turbat, Sukkur 50°C, Moenjodaro, Rahimyarkhan, Noorpurthal, Bahawalnager, Bahawalpur 49°C, Padidan, Bhakkar, D.G Khan 48°C, Okara, Shaheed Benazirabad, Rohri, Multan, D.I. Khan, Khanpur, Kohat 47°C.
