ISLAMABAD: Member of National Assembly (MNA) PML-N Shaista Pervez has said that the Government was making all out efforts to overcome energy crisis till Year-2018.
Talking to a private channel, she said government was mainly focusing for the timely completion of all development projects.
She said power projects were expected to be completed till Year-2018 and load-shedding would be eliminated by that time.
She said many gas projects will also be completed in 2017. Government has initiated development projects in all the provinces and was giving equal attention to it without any dustinction, she added.
She said Neelum-Jhelum project is an expensive project that will be completed soon. The government is also planning to initiate Dasu and Bhasha dam, she added.
She said Sukkur-Multan section of motorway is the meag project of the country. When the construction of motorways will be completed and Gwadar will be linked to Kashgar and Dushanbe, then business would increase and people-to-people contacts will be enhanced, she added.
Replying to a question, she pointed out that the Prime Minister had already announced to upgrade Bannu airport into an international airport.
She said the government was also extending sea routes. Gwadar-Chabahar ferry service has been started. Now Pakistani pilgrims can travel safely via Gwadar-Chabahar ferry service, she added.
She further said the government was trying to interlink all the major cities of the country through road-connectivity under CPEC.
Many economic zones will also be established so people of these areas will get job opportunities as well, she said.
