FAISALABAD: A team of Livestock department seized 460 kilogrammes unhygienic meat and arrested four butchers from Mansoorabad, here on Tuesday.
District Officer (DO) Livestock Dr. Saleha Gull along with her team checked butchers' shop in Mansoorabad and found four butchers - Muhammad Bilal, Abid Ali, Ammad Hussain and Ejaz Hussain - involved in selling unhygienic and low quality beef and mutton.
The raiding officer caught the four butchers and handed them over to the Mansoorabad police for further action. The team also seized 460 kg unhygienic meat from the spot and later it was destroyed at Jinnah Town Slaughter House, said a spokesman of the livestock department.
