PESHAWAR: Chief of ANP, Asfandyar Wali Khan Friday said that we cannot keep ourselves aloof both politically and naturally from the ongoing political affairs of neighboring Afghanistan as peace and tranquility in both the countries were interlinked with each other.
It's have been our endeavors to see a stable and prosper Afghanistan and to achieve the desired goal both neighbors and international community should play a positive role, Asfandyar said, according to a release issued by ANP Secretariat here Friday.
The ANP leader expressed these views in his separate meetings with Afghan President Dr. Asharaf Ghnai and former President Hamid Karzai in Kabul today.
Asfandyar is a member of delegation of Pashtun leader who were on a visit to Afghan capital. Other members of the delegation are Aftab Sherapo, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, and Afrasyaib Khattak.
Peace in the whole area was linked with stability in Afghanistan therefore comity of nations should play a positive role in order to meet the challenges faced by the region, he remarked.
On the occasion, the Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani paid rich tributes to late Khudai Khidmatgar, Baacha Khan and Abdus Samad Khan Achakzai for their services and struggle for Pakhutn nation. The delegation held the visit to Kabul as very important and welcoming which would further cement the ties between both neighboring Muslim countries.
