ISLAMABAD: Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) here on Friday visited the under construction site of the office building for the Bureau Headquarters at Sector G-5/1.
He reviewed the physical progress made on ground and inspected the quality and construction work of under construction site of the new building of NAB Headquarters.
Qamar Zaman directed, "there would be no compromise on quality of material and construction work and all codal formalities in tendering award of remaining construction work be fulfilled."
During the briefing, he was informed by DG NAB, HQ and DG, PWD Consultants and the Contractor that in the light of the directions of Chairman NAB during his last visit on the under construction site, the construction work is continued with full pace and structure of the basement, lower ground floor, ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor and 4th floor have been completed as per schedule. Brick work in basement, lower ground floor, ground floor, first pour slab 7 have been completed, brick masonry plaster work, PCC works, fixing of glass and artificial granite, underground water interception system, aluminum foil fixing around basement and electrification work is under progress.
The Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry also directed all concerned that efforts should be made to complete the 5th floor, internal and external electrification work, procurement of lifts, public health work, construction of boundary wall etc as per schedule, ensuring all quality standards in accordance with PPRA rules as per schedule.
The Chairman NAB, further directed DG NAB Headquarters, DG, PWD, Consultants and Contractor to complete the remaining construction work of the project according to the schedule.
