ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Owner/Director of Nadeem Housing Enterprises and Ex-Director of Nadeem Housing Enterprises, Karachi in a case of cheating public at large.
As per details here on Wednesday, Nadeem Housing Enterprises launched a project in 1992 namely "Gulshan e Tauheed" in Manghopir, Scheme 43, Karachi and collected millions of rupees but the poor allotees have not been given possession and lease of their land till yet.
Furthermore, a large number of duplicated plots were allotted to multiple people.
The defrauded allotees are still depositing their claims at NAB office through Public Notice published in leading dailies.
The project has been illegally transferred from heirs of Zehri Khan Gabol (late) to Israr Khan and then to Naeem Khan without any codal formalities with intent to loot the allotees on pretext of development and other charges.
Hundreds of the allotees have contacted NAB for recovery of their looted money from these frauds.
The accused Naeem Khan took over ownership of the alleged housing project i.e. Gulshan-e-Tauheed in 2010 through a General Power of Attorney. He illegally created new plots in the project by manipulating the existing layout plan in order to embezzle the funds.
He also transferred the plots of allotees to the new buyers without their consent and intimation.
He demanded and collected extra funds from the allotees in name of Development Charges, which was also not carried by him at site and has been evading the investigation proceedings.
The accused Israr Khan Ex-Director of Nadeem Housing Enterprises, Karachi before Naeem Khan, had taken over ownership of the alleged housing project i.e. Gulshan e Tauheed, in 2008 without any required documentation.
However, he has been managing the affairs of the project since 1997 as its Director and Front-man.
He collected the payments from the public/ allotees but did not give physical possession and lease deeds to them. His acts caused basis of this fraud.
