KARACHI: Sindh Private Schools Owners Association has registered its reservations about government's decision to extend the vacations by 10 days.
The current summer vacations in the schools and colleges scattered across the province.
A spokesperson of the association Thursday said the decision presumably made due to rain and floods does not apply to the metropolis, where management is already compelled to close schools at regular intervals due to one or the other pressing situation.
While talking to APP, she said this makes timely completion of course with adequate provision for revision an uphill task adding to the difficulties of the teachers.
"Of-course students are the ultimate sufferers denied of an opportunity to have adequate space and time to actually learn and understand the curriculum," said the spokesperson.
Educational institutions in Sindh were scheduled to open from August one after two months long summer vacations, however, as per a government announcement Wednesday evening these were now to resume their academic activities from August 11.
