imagePESHAWAR: Parliamentary leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Sardar Hussain Babak Sunday advised the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to adopt reconciliatory approach and abstain from negative politics in the larger interest of the country.

Talking to APP here, he said that Imran had already faced a lot of damage due to his behavior which had disappointed his supporters.

PTI Chairman should make peaceful efforts for the progress of the country, adding that positive attitude was vital for politicians to tackle things in right manner. Demanding resignation of election commission was immature attitude in politics, he added.

Parliamentary leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Sardar Hussain Babak said his party had paid a heavy price for its pro-Pukhtun policies.

Babak said elements who do not want to see the Pukhtun leadership in politics stole the mandate of ANP so that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf could come into power.

This is why, he said, the homes and hujras of ANP leaders are being attacked while the months-long dharna of PTI has never been targeted.

"Instead of supporting the operation launched by the army in North Waziristan, PTI was busy in its dharna," said Babak, terming the resignations of PTI MNAs a "drama".

"If they (MNAs) were sincere about their resignations, they would have announced it on the floor of the house like Javed Hashmi did."
