imageSARGODHA: Punjab Budget 2015-16 is balanced and people-friendly, which would bring prosperity in the province.

Talking to APP on Saturday, Parliamentary Secretary on Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Ch. Hamid Hameed and District president PML-N Shahnawaz Ranjha said that projects like self-employment, orange line would open a new era of progress and prosperity in the province.

They said the allocation of Rs 310 billion for the promotion of education and Rs 166 billion for healthcare sector would help provide basic facilities to the people. They said that a hefty amount has been allocated for develpoment projects in far-flung areas especially in south Punjab.

Hamid Hameed said that under Apna Razgar Scheme the unemployed youth would be given 50,000 vehicles at subsidized rates to start their business and the provincial government had allocated Rs 31 billion for this purpose.

Shahnawaz Ranjha said the Punjab government had allocated Rs 144.39 billion for providing tractors and other agricultural equipments to farmers and small farmers at subsidized rates.
